  Really nice food. Open fire with board games. Great ambiance. Nice open outside area. All the expected drinks options. Friendly staff. Definitely a lovely place to enjoy a family meal.

  After a tough game of (tag) rugby at nearby Caldy we were looking for some wholesale good to restore it energy levels. The Anchor fit the bill perfectly.
  The restaurant was fully booked (always a good sign) but there were tables in the bar area so we snagged the table closest to the fire. Nice decor and comfy chairs.
  The kids were hungry and in need of entertainment so we were provided with a set of dominos which kept them busy. The food was really good, well cooked, ample portions, delicious and importantly arrived quickly. Nothing super fancy just good food. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive. If searching for something that could be better if day the choice of beers could do with a bit of attention.
  All round a good choice for Sunday lunch.
