  Been coming for years, when it was bamboo. Service tonight was appalling. Starters came after 3/4 hour and were insipid (chicken) and passable (prawns). Mains came at 10pm, 1 and 1/2 hours after reservation. Burger was dire-dry and bland. Duck was worse - dryer and blander still. Rest of room offered free drinks at 10.05, but not us as we had been served! Serving staff were pleasant and apologetic on hearing of our disappointment. Would've expected money off or something but nothing. Left no tip - have never done that as an adult eating out. Sorry Halligans - despite the requests of your staff we won't be back.

  We visit Halligans three or four times a year. The food is always excellent and the service is friendly. Unless you have a palate that can only deal with the Brewer's Fayre standard of catering you should love this place. Recommended.
